McCain already has plenty of credibility on foreign policy. He has nothing more to prove.

Hasn’t McCain visited the Middle East multiple times?

Its just that the media didn’t have an orgasm when he went.

Read the news. He was over there when the hostages were tricked and released. The liberal media wants Obama to win so they flood the airwaves with everything he does.

  15. Obama sucks!

REAL MEN don’t talk they take action..nobama is sucking up to the middle east so if he does win he will already have there support to destroy israel and the rest of the civilized world.

McCain didn’t need to make a publicity tour to Iraq. He has gone many times and in fact, has a son serving there now. Obama had to go because McCain had publicly asked how he could make decisions about Iraq and not bother to visit.

Please understand I haven’t picked between Obama or McCain, but those of you who are saying McCain is just like Bush are completely wrong!!! If anything, he is just like Bob Dole, another old guy professional been-around-forever party-politician who was nominated to run against a weakened Bill Clinton in 1996 (for those of you too young to remember) mostly because it was Just His Turn. And that’s basically how he ran his campaign…It’s My Turn. He was the only person the Republicans could have nominated that year who would lose to Clinton, and they did it because they were a bunch of unthinking political hacks. So far McCain is showing the same knack for running an uninspiring and unmotivated campaign, and unless he summons the energy to catch fire somewhere — anywhere — he’s going to pull a Dole and suffer the same dismal fate, consigned to selling Viagra in a few years.

(And how come the YA spell-checker recognizes Viagra as a word, but still doesn’t Obama?)

I personally think the Middle East trip was a bad idea–people are stupid to think it is smart.

How many soldiers had to be pulled off their regular duties or were otherwise distracted to prepare for that trip? Don’t you also think it emboldens and tips off our enemies to start talking firm timetable for troop withdrawal?

And what was with the “no green” order?

I suppose the whole mindset of people who have wanted the war to fail and have been second-guessing all along buys right into this sort of boondoggle trip, but I believe it was a waste of resources and ill-conceived, if not borderline treasonous.

I think McCain looks at it similarly and would never have considered such a trip. Let’s hope his campaign doesn’t talk him into copying this against his better judgment.

Romney? Has he announced that? Let’s hope he can do better than that as well!

He did go, it’s just that the media didn’t fawn all over hi when he was there, like they are doing for Obama.

Hello. He went there a few months ago. He met with the leaders of Israel, Iraq, various European leaders. He’s been to Iraq several times over the past few years He’s the one who suggested that if Obama was serious about running for President he should actually go to Iraq and Afghanistan and talk to our military leaders.
