I would wonder why it took so long for him to tell me about the trip. And probably a little hurt that we are trying to work on the marriage but he is going away and didn’t think to ask if I wanted to go. You know kinda like a second honeymoon to get things back on track.
I would bet he is hurt.

This isn’t about a trip to Mexico, you realize that, right? You guys are both on the edge, with lots of resentment towards each other.
If my husband wanted to go to Mexico, he would obviously want to go with me, there’s no question about it. If he booked a trip somewhere without telling me first or wanting me to go with him, this would be a bombshell that would tell me things are going wrong in our relationship.
