Not so sure about the previous answer – I doubt you’ll be able to buy alcohol or cigarettes at the age of 14 or bring them in to the US.

First up, are you asking about what you can buy & bring back or do you just want to know what to take with you that you can then bring with you on the plane?

Assuming the latter, take a book and maybe an ipod or walkman. Although there might be some entertainment on the plane, you will spend quite a while sitting at the airport before you board. In your carry-on bag, you are quite restricted…no gels, liquids etc. You can take a lipsalve / lipgloss, but it has to be put into a sealed plastic bag when you go through security. Anything else like moisturiser, toothpaste, shower gel etc, needs to be in the bag/suitcase, with your clothes, that you check in.

As you will have to collect your bag / suitcase when you arrive back at your home airport, don’t pack too much stuff! Try to take clothes that you can mix & match so that you feel as though you’re wearing a different outfit.

    And don’t forget your passport.
