Check with the US Post office of Federal office in the city you are in but as long as you have your passport I think you will be okey.

Your family won’t need a visa, or even a passport, because they are US citizens. This is only until next year, though. Americans (The higherups, not all the citizens!) seem to think that illegal immigrants are mainly coming from Canada while ignoring Mexico, so they are forcing a passport requirement at the border.

You might, however. Look into it wherever you received your US visa. They should have information.

Phillippine passport holders require a visa to enter Canada as a visitor.

If you need a Visa to enter the US, chances are you’ll need one for Canada. For how long depends on the length of the trip you’re planning, and where? at the Canadian Embassy or Consulate.

Your family being U.S. citizens, don’t need a visa to visit Canada. They just need a drivers license, but a passport is better.

You on the other hand, will need a visa. You can apply for one at most border crossings, or at any airport, but you will have to wait while they prepare it. The best thing is to go to a travel agency, or an embassy and apply for it there, that way you’ll have everything ready when you visit.

    Enjoy Canada!!!

“Just tryit” gave you the CORRECT answer. YOU will need a visa to visit Canada. see webpage below for how to apply for that visa.

you need a visa. unfortunately, you should have gotten a canadian visa while you were still in the philippines. i’ve got lots of friends who told me that they applied for a canadian visa while vacationing in the US… and they’ve been told by the consuls that they should have applied for it before leaving the philippines.

the canadian embassies here in the US are for canadian citizens and for US citizens and residents needing assistance regarding canada. they normally do not like to deal with citizens of other countries.

you can try and apply… but don’t set up concrete plans yet. you can apply for a canadian visa from the internet… but you need to make a personal appearance at the nearest embassy. you need to search for that yourself. it could take somewhere between 3 weeks to a couple of months. just depends.

    Dear Riane,

Hi, my name is George. I work at a private Canadian immigration firm. On my spare time I try to help people.

Your family is fine, all they need to enter are their US passports or citizenship cards and photo ID.

Unfortunately, is that you will need a Canadian visitor visa. However, holding a US visa will increase your chances with the Canadian consulate. There is a Canadian consulate in Buffalo, NY where you can apply. The fee is $75 for a single entry.
