    You can change the date on the ticket, but the airline will charge you a fee of $300.00 to do that. If you are an American citizen, you are not required to have a round trip ticket. You may want to just buy a one way ticket, the get your retrun ticket later.

    Ask your travel agent right away if the ticket is open-ended or a penalty charged for a change for departure date. Are you taking a bus, train or plane? Where in Canada because the east coast and west coast are totally different and about 3500 miles apart. Lots to see and do in 2 weeks. Good Luck, I live here and haven’t seen it all.
