He is more concerned for their lives than McCain, who is willing to take their lives for the rate of oil.

obama obviously gives a bigger hoot than McSame, because he wants to bring them home instead of leaving them there to die. also note: he is going to Afghanistan, not Iraq. The reason he is going is to see what needs to be done there. That shows that he gives a hoot.

Uh I’m a democrat and I give a hoot about the troops. I care so much that I wouldn’t sacrifice the life or health of one more of them for another day for the this steaming pile of cow dung called Iraq. Since when did concern about troops become equated with Senator’s trips to Iraq? Do Senators have the ability to recall the troops? NO? Oh I see you don’t really have a point at all do you? Silly, silly, silly rabbit.

  7. Okay! Get Me Behind Obama!

    21. Mar, 2010

Obama is concerned about Obama. Nothing more. He had to be embarrassed into going on this trip. Now he and his campaign staff along with the media are making a dog and pony show out of it.

His initial opposition to the war was as a result of his committments to his Socialist supporters who were bellowing from day one. He is tied to them so strongly, he has no recourse but to abide by their guidance. FACT!

Yes, so said the Vet’s in all groups. Remember Webb’s bill for the Vets and McCain voted against it.

Look at McCain reconds and you will see what Vet’s see and that is McCain has voted against all Vet bills for the last seven years.

He was so concerned he voted against starting the war in the first place, and has continued to vote to stop the war and bring them home.

Really, you’d be criticizing him if he *didn’t* go, wouldn’t you?

Of course he doesn’t care about the troops. This is for political gain–nothing more. ***

Obama probably has more concern about our soldiers, and veterans than Bush or McWar. Bush just left our veterans of the Iraq to rot at the Walter Reed army medical. Did McWar speak out about the harsh treatment of our veteran at Walter Reed? NO!!! It took the “liberal media” to expose the problems at Walter Reed.

Well, I think a few things show Obama’s support of the troops 1) he’s visiting them now 2) he wants to save their lives.

While his last visit was before his presidential campaign, he has always been against this war, and has always been outspoken about it.

I do think it is possible to be both “for the troops” and “against the war.” I think our brave young men and women deserve better than to have their lives thrown away for a war of questionable value, one which the majority of Americans are against. I’ve already been to one military funeral, for a 24 year old kid who died on his second deployment. I don’t want to go to any more of those. Does that mean I don’t support the troops?

  13. Avenger! Democrat Against Obama

    21. Mar, 2010

Some of us democrats do care about the troops, but it’s obvious that Obama’s overseas adventure is little more than a political strategy. I continue to be amazed at the naivete in some people who believe that Obama’s trip is actually a substantive mission. It’s a political manuever orchestrated purely for show because McCain continuously (and rightly so) called Obama out on this.

The only thing Obama is concerned with is himself. He will anything to achieve his goal of becoming the next President of the United States of America.

Obama does not support our troops or America for that matter. He is a racial, anti-American, puppet whose strings are being pulled by Soros.

This entire trip is a joke….just a supermedia event and photo op for him. He doesn’t give a two penny damn about our troops nor the mid-east. He just wants to look like he knows what he is doing to get votes. What I am waiting on is his reaction to how well the surge he was so against has worked..and what lie he will come up with to try not to anger anyone and still be politically correct. This one should be worth watching him on tv to hear. LOL

I was hoping the soldiers would boo him.
But, maybe they were under orders not to.

The Vets bill that you Obamabots like to call attention to, was and this is verifiable boys/girls, a LOADED Democratic pile of “pet and pork” projects, some 100 BILLION above and beyond the budgeted items. Your nemesis, mcCain blew the whistle on ALL of them, including Pelosi and her hometown. McCain and more conscientious Dems and Repubs killed the Bill, rewrote it without the “garbage” and it was passed.
I personally belong to 7 different Vet Organizations, including VVA, VFW and American Legion. I frequent blogs and discussion sites about the election. Funny how I never “hear” the criticisms you “people” always spout about the Vets against McCain. Who do you “people” think we would follow into a combat situation ? Obama ? He’s a military NIGHTMARE not to mention a closet wimp. Let’s pray for all you Obamabots that this country doesn’t go to war against Russia or China…………. because we’d never find you to help us defend it.

I think Obama cares about the troops but I also think Bush does… that McCain does… but I also think there is interest in protecting our a%s ets in that region… I think and have some deeper info that lets me know that the oil over there is not really needed at all… that the oil we have in america is useable to us UNREFINED …is more than enough … but the powers that be that have been for many many many years the “federal reserve families”…the ones who really run our country…are only interested in money going into their pockets and not the blood of our military… our precious children shed for their ugly asses purposes!! There is a special place in hell for these scum… yes Jesus loves them too but if they stay blind and continue as they’ve been they will pay the price. I hate what they are doing but I do pray for them to get right with God…

this is all a PR deal. There isn’t a dem who gives a rats a$$ about anyone in the military and they need to know that the country is aware of this. He doesn’t care any more now than he did before, that’s a damn fact!

He is not concerned at all. Why should he care? Most of them vote Republican.
But he would like to bring them home. He does not want to offend his friends and relatives in the Arab world.
All the good democrats think the world would be great if the Americans all laid down their arms and came home. That is such a nice fairy tale. But it works. People like fairy tales.

In the Red corner you have the same failed policies, favoring the rich, and protecting the American Dream for a select few, which was it’s original intent. In the Blue Corner you have change. Protection of that dream for all. Martin Luther King’s dream for the future of this country. Did anyone see Obama’s 3 point shot from Iraq? Nothing but net!!! That’s how he’s ran his campaign against his punch drunk opponent.
Wait to the debates!!! Mcbush will prove himself to be a fumbling old man against a graceful new leader. Yet still many will support him because they fear the change that they can not stop. If you can’t find it in your heart to vote for a Black man keep in mind half white. If that doesn’t help. Vote for Barr. He has no chance anyway and is currently taking votes from Mcbush. No one wants to talk about the fact that the Democrats will have control of the House AND the Senate. If Mc Cain wins he will be more of a lame duck then Bush and our “mental recession will grow”. Change is here. The time is now. Obama wins by a KO!!!

He cares very much for the troops. Some of his best friends are in the military. What about GW when he visits… they have to land the plane funny because it might get shot down and they have a lot of protection. But with Barack Hussein Obama II everyone likes him.

  31. caliguy_30

    22. Mar, 2010

I honestly could care less about Obama’s visit to Afghanistan or Iraq or even Iran for that matter … We all know that he will say whatever people want to hear regardless of what he sees there. What i want to see is Obama go to Israel on an official visit. I want to see and hear Mr Obama tell the world how he will continue to support Israel the same way this nation has in the last 60 years and how we will remain there best ally in the region and protect their interest against anyone who tries to destroy them.
Now THAT would be a statement Obama will have to stick with and it will certainly hurt his “likeness” by all the Arab nations who see him as a “buddy”.
I hope Obama goes to Israel.

This is a typical Democrats – it only matters if people are dieing if it directly effects them.

They don’t mind millions being killed anyplace in the world or being murdered in the USA, as long as they aren’t involved.

Then they try to claim they actually care about human life.

First McCain said Obama was irresponsible for saying he would attack Al Queida in Pakistan if their was solid intelligence. Since calling Obama ‘irresponsible’ our military has attacked Al Queida 4 times in Pakistan.

McCain calls Obama naive and reckless for wanting to set a timetable to get out of Iraq. Next thing you know the sovereign Iraq government demands we set a timetable and Bush has given in but would rather call it a “time horizon”.

McCain calls Obama reckless and an appeaser for saying he will sit down with leaders of countries unfriendly to the U.S. 3 months later the U.S. successfully appeases and negotiates with N. Korea (‘axis of evil’) and they begin to dismantle their nuclear plants. Now they are doing the same with Iran.

Obama has been saying Afghanistan needs more troops and equipment for a year now while McCain barely mentioned it. Obama makes a big speech about it and McCain follows Obama’s coattails and states what Obama has been saying all along.

    Who has the better judgment?

Just another photo and campaign rally provided by the main stream media. To give a speech prior to his visit to Iraq proclaiming false claims of its failure is reckless and shows he doesn’t have the right stuff to be our leader or the commander and chief. It shows there are Dark Forces propping this man up, when a majority of the main stream media spews his rhetoric indiscriminately.

The reason he’s going is to figure out how he can send more troops to Afghanistan, and keep his promise to withdraw troops from Iraq. See people!!! He’s only going to satisfy his own personal needs, not our troops!! He’s going because his “handlers” (translation-Soros) says it’s a good PR move. I’d like to see what he has to say once he gets back, probably another flip-flop.
