IDEAL CAMERA FOR TRIP TO AFRICA NEXT YEAR?
Posted on 10. Mar, 2010 by admin in Africa travel
Looking for a camera that’s relatively reddened and auto (easy to carry) but digit that module effectively getting the images of the wildlife that I’m feat to wager there. Have a evenhandedly super budget but don’t poverty to go to overboard. Any suggestions?

No question, hands down it’s either Panasonic’s 8MP DMC-FZ18 or it’s successor the 10MP DMC-FZ28, I have both and they’ve both been cited as being the best “bridge camera” (not quite a dSLR, but much better and more versatile than your typical point and shoot), if you don’t mind carrying a slightly larger camera with much more capabilities. A perfect Leica lens with an 18x OPTICAL zoom, (not digital!), either one of these cameras will get you up close and personal with the animals and landscapes of Africa. I really envy you going on this adventure!

I would say the Nikon D3 with a AF-S NIKKOR 200-400mm f/4G IF-ED.
That is not a compact outfit but it will get you amazing images.
