   It depends on what you want to do. Travel agents are great and they know what they are talking about. However, if you just want to book into a resort for a week or two you can figure it out yourself, do some research on the web and figure out where you want to go. Then I suggest travelzoo.com where you can search several travel sites for flight, accommodation, and car at the same time. They also compile a “top 20″ list of travel deals and vacations every week. Also, if you are a AAA member they offer free travel agent services and discount travel insurance.

   A travel agent can help you with their knowledge of the destination you are interested in. They can also make sure that everything is taken care of for you if they are doing their job

   You can really book everything you need online and save yourself some $$$ rather than booking through an agent. If you had any questions stop into your local travel agency and ask a couple of questions about your destination. You can however, find anything you need online….
