Postive, mostly, except for dumb red state Republicans who can’t find Europe on a map.

Not big at all seeing as how he just went there for press. I’m just glad he’s out of our country for now.

it was a great thing, the best part of it was seeing American flags being waved on foreign land as opposed to being burned when bush visits

I have heard it has been sen negatively. Most people are angry that he seemed more interested in foreign affairs than US soldiers. It doesn’t change my opinion-I still can’t stand him.

Its great it shows that once again we will have a leader who can talk to the rest of the world and not just piss them off. It also shows that we need not worry about him being a good leader on the world stage. Now maybe we can get some cooperation on the issues we face internationally today instead of us footing the bill on everything.

If President people globally will listen to him, he’s likely and very Presidential.

None what so ever. Most people I know think Obama to be a worse threat to the USA than atomic bombs getting based in Cuba by new Russian government!

I see it for what is was. A Photo-op pep rally staged for people that can’t vote for him. Any thought that this is any way lends itself to show he has any foreign policy experience is ludicrous.
The man is a pompous arrogant empty suit.

I think people are starting to take it negatively. He’s acting like he’s already been elected. Him not seeing the troops because he couldn’t bring cameras just is evidence of the fact that he is there to campaign. If he was there as a Senator then he would have gone in that camp. He’s manipulative, calling the American people out on different actions, and opposing them rather than defending them. They can keep him.

I thought it was great. He appeared very presidential and dignified as he was received by the leaders in Afghanistan and Iraq. I’m happy that he was so received by the Europeans in Germany. Didn’t see any anti-American demonstrations or anything like when Bush last went to Europe. Europe wants to love America again.

The people it is important to..those VOTING saw it for what it was..another photo op–sopmething for the media..obamas bggest mistake was not visiting the wounded..which did not set well with most Americans. He just keeps blowing it with independants/undecideds–Instead of being a citizen of the USA first..he choose to be a “citizen of the world” first and an American second..The only ones gushing about his visit were already Obama supporters anyway..so he gained nothing!

It was a political venture to provide Obama’s love-struck media with ‘experience’ to tout in foreign affairs. As he was lacking there, and since the mainstream media is worshiping his excellent adventure, the American people should (only by their calculations) fall in line. They won’t. And the reason why is that the press considers the American public idiots, who only fail to recognize Obama’s brilliance because they aren’t smart enough to comprehend ‘nuanced’ ideas.

Its a show, a photo shoot, and I don’t think Obama cares about anything or anyone, he just wants to win. He has a entirely different agenda and is only doing what he thinks and his 340 advisors think he should do to win! The man cannot be trusted!.

Well, as they say in Hollywood, all the w.h.o.r.e.s. gather in a certain party one night and “press the flesh” (shake hands) to advance their own agendas!

And the fact that he DID NOT even go see one American wounded soldier, well, folks, there you have it! Does that tell you people anything about who he’s gonna give a d/a/m/n about when he gets in office? All he’s doing is what he’s told to do to get elected! And after that, he’s gonna strike the pose of sitting his @ss in the white house chair and toke on a stogey! “Yeah, baby, looky here, finally got one of us in this here White House!” That’s all he’s about and he has NO TRACK RECORD to fall back on for people to know how he’s gonna operate!

Senator McCain WILL get my VOTE!

I have read some of the comments by republicans on Y/A that were really bad and slanderous toward Obama and Europeans – and this is the kind of people that are running our country and who want even more power to do so .
Obama’s speech in Germany was truly inspiring .

It’s been a huge success! He is showing to the world that as President he will tear down the “walls” that divide us. Under the Bush administration our foreign policy has been in the toilet. Obama plans on mending old wounds and attempting to unite us with the rest of the world. He will build upon our failed foreign policy by tearing down those metaphorical walls!

I feel that his trip was viewed in a very positive light by those who are still on the fence. However, for the very conservative Republicans and the “hard-working, uneducated white voters” that supported Hillary and will vote for McCain now, I think they didn’t like it at all.

It’s interesting because a lot of Republicans (aka Fox News) were trying to put a bad spin on it by making him look like he was presumptuous when Obama himself pointed out that McCain did the exact same thing months earlier, and recently he made some trips to Canada and Latin America. In fact, it was McCain who was attacking Obama for not making an overseas trip. So yes, it is understandable that the conservatives will paint it in a bad light as much as possible, but the truth is that the people who are going to vote for Obama or who are leaning towards that decision will view this trip very favorably because he looked quite Presidential, commanded respect and handled himself impeccably. And that is something that we have not seen in our President for a very long time.

Obama’s trip overseaswas a total success and I think most people agree, except no doubt the usual Obama haters you see on this site.

He connected well with he troops. They seemed to really like him. The wounded souldiers he visited (much to people’s surprise) more than likely connected to him as well. We didn’t see that part of the visit as camera’s and media were not allowed in. He connected very well with other foreign leaders both in the middle east and in Europe and the European people loved him.

I think he showed he does have what it takes to be a foreign diplomat, he is aware of the problems we’re facing and will do just fine as President.

If he didn’t do well, why on earth are the Republicans, especially McCain himself coming down so hard on him? McCain had something negative to say about everything he did, yet McCain was the one who encouraged him to go. Once again McCain puts his foot in his mouth. he may have swallowed it this time.

Europe has some real problems of their own—his media induced worship was a stunt to make him look good.
Last time I checked only Americans are able to vote—of course if he is elected and has no checks and balances with the ultra crazies controlling congress right now-at his side—that could very well change—–perhaps that is the change he speaks of.

A Socialist received well in Socialist countries?

It was haughty and presumptuous of him to campaign abroad. Reasonable moderates and Independents feel like we are being played for stupid. I should vote for Obama because I see him in a lot of presidential-like images? It’s as if we are some science-project.

Anyone who believes that going abroad not meet privately with world leaders, but rather to plan huge campaign events with free food and music is appropriate, is obviously self-absorbed and not focused on doing what is best for the country he comes from.

I was surprised to see the enthusiasm he generates, I do know that Europeans have thought us an unsophisticated bunch politically when we ran the country through an impeachment over an affair. I do know the cowboy persona of Bush hasn’t sat well, they think hes crude and a phony, a man with his background playing at being a Texan.
I know they though the war was a mistake, and they pretty much thought we should have gotten Osama.
But I had no idea they wanted a change so badly.
We wanted to know, if the world would accept a black president, it seems they have. We wanted to know if he could represent us well at the various treaty tables and meetings and it seems he can. I’m still not crazy about him but he seems to be a measured man and thats all to the good.
There will always be some hysterical Republicans who, overlooking the precipice we are on due to failed economic and social policies of the Bush administration, will cry panic at the thought of a Democrat in power, but they haven’t done so well themselves, time for a change has been Obamas slogan. I’m beginning to understand why that’s so appealing.
I think the electorate left with an open mind will understand that too.

He went with a Democrat senator and a Republican one, the portion of his trip that was deemed to be campaign was paid for by his campaign. Not the taxpayers. It was his second trip there.

There are American voters there, not only the troops either, many Americans work or live in Europe and they vote too.

I believe most see it for what it was, a photo-op. I also believe that he really messed up by not visiting the wounded troops in Germany. Obama supporters really believe that he was told he couldn’t go see them but in fact he could. He was told he couldn’t use it as a photo-op. He was told he couldn’t bring any media with him into the hospital.

Only one of my friends fawned over this trip. My other friends saw it for what it was, a well scripted, well acted, show in which all the world was literally a stage for Mr. Obama. I literally wanted to vomit from all the syrup. “I’m here as a citizen of the world!” Oh gag me. “You haven’t seen an American that looks like me.” Oh PULLEEZE. What exactly did that mean? Oh wait! I forgot! Obama is Black! Like that hasn’t been mentioned by him and the media a billion times. After sticking his foot in his mouth about Jerusalem and not sounding smarter than a 5th grader on relations with Iran, I would be surprised if Osama Bin Laden doesn’t send cells to campaign for the guy. Did it ever occur to anyone that the ME wants him in there because they see him as someone who will further THEIR agenda? as someone who is weak and naive on foreign policy? His so called judgement will not quell the rage of Al Queda. The object of terrorism is not to sit down and negotiate. It’s to cause chaos. Now that I have heard one straight week of Moe- Charlie Gibson, Larry – Katie Couric and Curley – Brian Williams, gush about this dude, have seen two covers with him and his family on it, read countless newspaper articles likening him to Christ, I’ve had 8 years worth of him in the past 2 months. I liked him much better when he was our rarely heard from, rarely seen State Senator doing nothing in Washington.

    Depends on who you ask.

If your asking bots, there going to clap there little hands
and smile and say the audacious one was the greatest.

If you ask a socialist they will give a big thumbs up.

If you ask the rank and file bain dramaged dem. they will
    give a big thumbs up.

If you ask someone who actually has something at stake in
this country. Like they have a responsible job. They are
self sufficent, They don’t rely on government for a pay check
or support. They own there own business. They actually pay
taxes, instead of receive services from taxes. They will pretty
    much tell you he sucked.

So He sucked thats my call.
