FOR A ROAD TRIP FROM CALIFORNIA TO CANADA, WHERE DO YOU RECOMMEND STOPPING AND SEEING?

I am fascinated in a roadtrip from Southern Calif. to Canada, and I desired whatever suggestions on places to wager much as domestic parks, concerned places, and anything engrossing and fun.

well i would detour a little and see the grand canyon, go through Vegas, spend some time in yellowstone national park then go up to glacier national park, stop and check out mount rushmore, go through the bad lands and then go to Grand teton national park and then head back to california

Some of the best National Parks are in the area you will be driving through–I’ve been to them all and they were great. So if you like that sort of thing you should hit any of the following: Joshua Tree NP, Death Valley, Sequoia and King’s Canyon, and Yosemite. Crater Lake and Mt. Rainer are also really pretty. Spring is a pretty good time to see most of these places although you could run into snow in Yosemite and it could be really hot in Death Valley. So check out all those details before you go. You could also go along the coast and see some cool cities like San Francisco–it’s one of my favorite cities.

On your way up through California be sure to visit some of the many great California wineries. You will find many wonderful wineries along the Central Coast in Santa Barbara, San Luis Obispo, Paso Robles, Monterey, and Santa Cruz. For info on these wineries and places to eat and stay check out: http://www.cheers2wine.com/central-coast-wine-tasting.html

If you want to go up through California faster, take I-5 North. Stop and visit the wineries in Lodi, California. There are over 25 with wine tasting rooms and most have free wine tasting. The wineries are not far off of I-5. For info on Lodi Wineries, restaurants, and lodging go to: http://www.cheers2wine.com/Lodi-wineries.html

I would recommend a stop in Ashland, Oregon. It’s a cute little town off of I-5. Make reservations in advance to get tickets for one of the plays the town is known for. For info go to: http://www.orshakes.org/

If you visit Seattle, be sure to go to Pike’s Fish Market. For info go to: http://www.pikeplacefish.com/

    Have a great trip!

Your trip will be great! You have the option of seeing SO MANY of our nation’s greatest places! there are literally too many options for me to tell.. can you be more specific about what city to where in Canada? How much time do you have to make the trip? with family? will this be a round trip, so you can take a different route on the way back? Like Sequioa, Yosemite, Redwoods, Mt hood and Rainier on the way up; and Glacier, Yellowstone, I-15 to vegas on the way back ? Write me if you want!
